GeoRangers by Millwright Software

Geocaching,
kid-sized.

Easy to use, easy to find.

Your kid holds the phone. It points, pings, and counts the feet down. It reads the clue in words they know. When they find the box, they get a sticker.

Coming to the App Store See more iPhone, iOS 18 and later. $3.99. No ads, no accounts, nothing collected.

Around the hunt

Car radar

Treasure all around you.

On a drive it sweeps and pings when a cache is coming up ahead. Never more than one nudge every ten minutes.

Track one and you get road directions, spoken twice per turn and no more. Kid guidance stays locked above walking speed.

Treasure nearby

Feet, not miles.

Every cache in walking range, closest first, with a color for how easy it is to find. Hard ones say so, so you can pick the first one they will actually get.

After a load, the ring fills while the app learns the land: the hills and dips it draws under the map when they get close.

Sticker map

Every find, with their photo.

A sticker lands on the map for each treasure they find, and a Brave Try sticker when they looked hard and it was not there. Photos stay in the app, never in the camera roll.

Built for your kid

  • The clue is rewritten for them. “Find the biggest oak tree. Look where the flat stones are.”
  • It talks. A real voice, not a robot.
  • Finding is a hold, not a tap.
  • Can’t find it? A Brave Try sticker.
  • Honest about GPS. It stops pointing when it can’t know.

Built for you

  • Everything grown-up sits behind a multiplication problem. Links out, too.
  • No child accounts. You load the caches. They never touch geocaching.com.
  • No ads, no analytics. Photos never leave the phone.
  • Kid guidance locks above walking speed.
  • Caches come from a GPX file. A pocket query, AirDropped or opened from Files.

Where it stands

In field test with real kids and real boxes. Caches come in from GPX pocket queries today; we are applying to the Geocaching API program so you can search from the app. Hints need a Geocaching Premium membership.
